Additional slotted areas in upright plate facilitates additional cooling of engine. Some drivers do find that this piece of the chain guard can interfere or strike their elbow during turning, depending on driver dimensions. In this case, a trim with an angle grinder or band saw can open up room for drivers.
Each chain guard comes with (2) sets of pre-drilled holes to fit Briggs 206 engines or Tecumseh or Raptor engines, to ensure that the height and fitment around the crank shaft and side case seal is appropriate.
