Overview
Designed with the karter in mind, the GTX-1 was developed after extensive testing with K1’s pro athletes in karting and motorsports. With a mid-top design, the soft leather utilized in the shoe allows for breathability and additional flexible comfort due to carefully placed vents and stretch panels.
Like other shoes from K1, the GTX-1 features a pre-formed rubber sold, which serves as a solid base for the shoe. An integrated “Achilles Flex Zone” allows for additional range of motion in the ankle area, which helps with pedal control and feel in a high-horsepower environment.
For karting, the nomex and SFI rating utilized and met might be overkill, but you’ll be comfortable on the track regardless!
The GTX-1 is available in several color options as well, including red, white, black, and navy blue.
